19th C. Primitive American Bench

It's been a long time since I've come upon a
primitive furniture piece that I just had to have.
But, this week, I not only found one but two.
The 8' long bench has boot jack legs and the
backgammon board card table above it, C. 1900 - 1920.
I love the graphics on the old game boards and
have several of the lighter colored ones.

This was nerve wracking, watching Handyman Husband
climbing the old wooden ladder he modified to fit on the stairs.

Whew, almost there!

    1. Thanks Laura, looked in on your blog, especially loved the pix from your trip to New York, It's been years since I've been there. We're having unseasonably cold weather in California, kinda reminds me of the east coast winters without the snow.
I've decided I cannot fit one more thing in this little house, the wall that has the long bench on it was the last bare spot.
I'd have to start selling off what I have to fit more in, not gonna happen!
I like the shabby chic look as well, when it came in about 15-20 years ago, I considered painting all my old things white, because it was flying out the store door, while my brown things just sat there. Glad I changed my mind.
      Have a wonderful Christmas! Mary
